EcoUCDUSA UCD ballasts efficiently convert input voltage and current into usable watts. While many high-efficiency ballasts convert 80% of their input energy into watts, EcoUCDUSA UCD-ECL ballasts do so more efficiently, converting approximately 89%. Most utility companies measure their customers power factor and sometimes add surcharges when a low power factor is measured. A low power factor correlates with higher utility costs. EcoUCDUSA ballasts’ have a high power-factor range (96% – 99% – depending on input voltage). This will help to mitigate utility-provider surcharges.
